After SME Cloud Tools installation, even if I am not using I get an error popup which says "Cloud Drive - Thread creation error: not enough storage is available to process this command". My Windows 7 pc works normally with this exception only.
Any idea ?

This issue is not related to SME but related to a setting that is changed when you install other software that reduces the IRP Stacksize.  You can do a web search for this and you will see lots of software can suffer from the same problem where software has been installed that changes this parameter.

You should contact the SME Support and ask for a debug build which will validate this is the issue for your machine and then supply you with details of how to fix this.

Also if you are a supported user you should directly report such issues to the support channel (storagemadeeasy.zendesk.com) as this is a community forum for users rather than a place to log support tickets.

Thanks for the info about IRPStacksize, I will check if it works.
I don't think I'm a supported user:
"You have access to the forum support only.
A Personal or Business Cloud account is required for the email or Skype support."
There's no reference in the EU website where I login about storagemadeeasy.zendesk.com, I will check it.
Anyway there's no other software having issues like that on my PC, I'm really skeptical it's not related to SME.
As you suggested I check on Google and found some reference about Bitdefender which is the AV I'm using now. Are you aware of any compatibility issue with SME?

Anti Virus software can reduced the IRP Stacksize. Where Apps use lots of threads - normally message apps or drive apps then this issue can then appear. There are posts on the skype forum about similar issues for example.

It can be remedied and Microsoft themselves have posted a tech note on the issue.

It also tends mainly to affect Windows 7 machines.

Also if you are using Anti Virus you should exclude the drive from the AV software because as it is a cloud drive the AV software will cause speed issues  and locking issues for remote files.
