I have no problem logging into my account using SME client and explorer but SME Sync centre keeps giving a message "Error check login". I get the same results using secure and non secure EU servers. Any ideas?

The problem seems to be caused by having a space character in the username which is not encoded properly in the Sync Center client but fine for the other two clients. Hopefully they can fix the bug.

Yes, this appears to be a bug. The space character should actually not be allowed in a username. We have create bug report ticket and it will be fixed in our next bugfix sprint.
