Hi, I just registered for Amazon S3 and I came to SMEStorage but when I use my keys on the OpenS3 beta It asks for a "default bucket" and I do not have one. Do I have to go back to Amazon to create this ?

Hi, we've added this to the platform for new users of S3 so you can create your bucket directly from our platform. Let us know if you have any problems.

Hi, can you please tell me where this option is?

Also, is there a User Guide available anywhere on the site?

If you have an OpenS3 beta account and you are using your own Amazon S3 keys. Once you enter your keys, if there is no default bucket, you will see an option to create a bucket.

We are currently working on a user guide for the platform. OpenS3 is still in beta so has not officially launched yet. If you have any questions please feel free to post on the forums. Also look at the Links and Help at the side of the site which has information on specific features.

Thank you very much. I wasn't able to get a place in the Beta so am using your free 250Mb service until that becomes available. I am sure that will get filled very quickly so I hope the Open service becomes fully available soon.

I just ran a test where I paused an upload and then restarted which was fine. However, if I shut down and then open up and try to upload the file again it starts at the beginning.

Is there no resume function available? I intend to use your service for mainly storing all my iTunes library including movies and TV shows so this would be a bit of a problem when the files run in to Gbs!

Right now in our API there is an automatic resume if the connection is dropped.

We will be implementing the ability to stop and then restart at a much later time in our platform in the none to distant future.
