Hi,

could someone explain how to connect to Hubic.com cloud provider usign OpenStack connection?
Their API is explained here: https://api.hubic.com/docs/

I was trying https://api.hubic.com/oauth/auth as an endpoint.

More explanations that a programmer could understand: https://github.com/oderwat/hubic2swiftgate

Are you sure Hubic is using OpenStack ? They do not seem to be using the OpenStack authentication mechanism but some proprietary OAuth authentication so you will not be able to add it using the OpenStack cloud connector.

At least they claim to: https://api.hubic.com/

Here is an app that supports Hubic through OpenStack: http://www.619.io/swift-explorer

Yes, but see this excerpt from that site you point out:

Standard OpenStack API, except for the authentication mechanism. HubiC relies on OAuth2, and has implemented a rather weird protocol (that is described in details here – basically, a first token must be obtained in order to claim a second one that is the one).

So not standard OpenStack as you need to support the proprietary API Mechanism.

If you are looking for standard Openstack try cloudvps.com which we also use as part of our testing of OpenStack

I'm nearly there.

I've set up a script called swift2hubic gate which makes authentification for the hubic openstack architecture. It works fine for the desktop clients (tested on Cloudberry (Windows) and
python-swiftclient (linux).

However still cannot add it to SME. I get through the Openstack credentials page and come to the container/bucket selection page. Here I get error: Wrong bucket name or the bucket already exists. - I've tried many names for the bucket. See attachments.

What's wrong?

as per prior threads our OpenStack connector supports standard openstack authentication not HubiC Oauth 2. We would need to develop a native connector for HubiC to support this.

+1 for this connector with 10 tb for 10 bucks/m why wouldn't you add the connector?

At the moment we have no plans to add Hubic. We are concentrating on business Clouds. We recently added Jive and CMIS providers and the next provider we are considering adding is Yammer.

Our prior statement on this still stands. We have no plans right now to add Hubic.
