If you have any issues with authenticating your SkyDrive account on the SMEStorage site when you are doing your first sync, please try the following:
1. Login into login.live.com with you skydrive details
2. Now login to skydrive.live.com in same browser window. It should log straight through into your account. Ensure that you have filled in all you personal details, particularly birth year and location.
3. Next open you SMEStorage account and try authenticating again against SkyDrive.
4. If you continue to have problems authenticating ensure your password contains only alphanumeric characters.
This works in most cases for users having an issue and seems to be because the user has never been authenticated against live.com.
