FTPS login
Hi,

Thanks a lot, that seems to be it (I have tried it from a different location and it works). Just now need to sort out the firewall rules...

Thanks again, consider the issue closed,

Hi,

Thanks for the video and info but it just shows what I was doing anyway (albeit in a different ftp client). I don't have access to a Mac at the moment so can't confirm that it works from that but I have now tried FileZilla, WinSCP, CoffeeCup FreeFTP and the FireFox plug in FireFTP all in Windows 7. All of them work using plain FTP but none of them work using FTPS (either implicit on port 990 or explicit SSL or TLS on port 21).

Are you able to test at your end using any of these FTP clients (WinSCP preferably) using FTPS?

Thanks

I tried 990 on FileZilla and on WinSCP. From the FileZilla log trace that tries to connect to 83.149.102.22:990, with the result of Connection attempt failed with "ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server".

Hi,

Thanks a lot for the prompt reply, unfortunately I still get the same errors.

Hi,

I can access my account (on eu.storagemadeeasy.com) fine using plain FTP with FileZilla and WinSCP clients but neither work with FTPS. I have tried explicit TLS, explicit SSL and implicit.

On WinSCP it starts the session, reads the remote directory but fails when retrieving the remote directory listing and I get an error message box stating:

Error listing directory '/'

Transfer channel can't be opened. Reason: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.
Could not retrieve directory listing.
Data connection cannot be opened with this PROT setting.

Whilst in FileZilla I just get Connection attempt failed with "ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server"

Pretty much the reason I bought the FTP connector was because I wanted to be able to access my accounts via an FTP client (preferably WinSCP) using at least some sort of security (SFTP would be nice but I knew you didn't support that, so FTPS would have done). Any reason why this doesn't work?

Thanks for any help you can give, Iain
