Not connecting to FTP

It failed, because you selected wrong protocol.

Here is what you need to do to connect to FTPS:
- change protocol to "FTP - File Transfer Protocol"
- select encryption "Require implicit FTP over TLS".
- use a port 990.

Export folder and file list

Re Is it possible to export the list of folders and files to a text file, for example?

Yes, you can get it via API by getListOfFiles request. But, you will need to parse XML or JSON to do that.
You can try it here: https://storagemadeeasy.com/?p=apidoc

Also, have a look at getFolderContents. It is more flexible.

FTP errors since SME server maintenance ...

It was fixed.

It works fine right now.

List all files in a folder using the API
Each function that listening folders returns up to 1000 files per once.
If you want to receive more files then you need to do couple calls.

Each function that listening files has two params:
- from
- count

Here is how it should work:
1) call getFolderContents with:
   - from=0
   - count=1000
2) parse response and get "total". This is total count of files/folders
3) if you received is less than "total" files/folders (i.e.  from+count<total ) then call getFolderContents with:
   - from=1000
   - count=1000

FTP via MS SQL Server Agent Job
It fails because Windows command-line FTP client does not support the passive mode.
The active mode doesn't work for you.

You have 2 options:
1) use another FTP client.
2) try to make it work via active mode. It is possible only in some cases.

I recomend to use another FTP client.
For example, WinSCP FTP client supports scripting and defaults to a passive mode: http://winscp.net/eng/docs/scripting

Here is small example of usage WinSCP FTP client:
C:\Program Files (x86)\WinSCP>winscp.exe /script=C:/ftp_commands.txt

Script `C:/ftp_commands.txt` :
open ftp://username:password@ftp.storagemadeeasy.com
put C:\file.doc /file.doc
FTP via MS SQL Server Agent Job
You need to remove '-a' parameter. This parameter is needed only when the FTP server is running on local machine.
Create a new limited user for FTP(S) transfers

> Is there a way, to create an additional user (under my account) that will be limited to performing specific actions (like only file upload, without the option to delete or download anything)?

All data that lftp send to SFTP/FTPS are encrypted.

You can use a command like this to start lftp:

lftp -u your_username  -e 'set ftp:passive-mode on;' ftps://ftp.storagemadeeasy.com
lftp will ask you to enter the password. When you will typing the password then it will be hidden.

Try to remove ":433" from URL and "Destination".

Installing Cloud Drive / Cloud Tools on Minut Linux
It looks like a package installed correctly.
In main menu in "Accessories" should be 3 apps:
  • SME Explorer
  • SME Sync Center
  • SME Client

Are they there?
Did you tried to open menu and type "SME"?

If they are missing then try to execute commands:
  • smeexplorer
  • smesynccenter
  • smeclient

Let us know if this command starts apps.
